The winding driveway to Four Seasons Hampshire is at least a mile long. Low hills either side. Not a building in sight until you come to this three floor brick house, square topped, 18th century on an estate that goes back to Domesday records. The turning circle in in front of the main door. is a bloom of lavender bordered in manicured box. A very English young man in very English country clothes is there to greet, and as soon as his meeting ends The Boss, GM Andrew Harrison, appears. He’s always in the latest avant-garde-meet-ancestry gear. Today it’s got a whiff of chauffeurism, even though there’s only a buggy to hand.
Corner room 1209 is to the north-east of the top floor of this palatial brick palace. Imagine the country house your grandmother might have (she's very with it, though, because you do have USB ports). At the same time there’s tradition, traditional colors, starting with the carpet, which is an overall leaf green scroll pattern on beige. walls outlined in white are deep duck egg blue. upholstery is cream or tan. The bedhead is cream fabric. There's an eight-light modern flush chandelier overhead. A little alcove in one corner of the room holds tea and coffee. and a sitting area. The bathroom has an easy work single head shower.
Girlahead looks out at the view, sadly really parched at the moment. Any English country house needs grounds, and you certainly got’em here. As far as the eye can see and beyond, with the Basingstoke Cana lrunning through, and hills and woods. In one copsearea of the woods, there's a marvellous area under chestnut trees with deliberately uncut grass and chairs set haphazardly. Just sit here and enjoy. Yes. You've got a total. of 580 acres to play in and there are 7,000 trees. Somebody must have counted them.
